Isabelle Warren Obituary

WARREN - Isabelle K., 85, of Kingstown Road, RI, died Monday at The Scallop Shell Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Wakefield, RI. She was the wife of Kenneth Warren and they were married for sixty years. Born in Pawtucket, RI she was a daughter of the late Edward Raylor and Ruth (Burroughs) Kent. Mrs. Warren graduated from Ridgewood High School and Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA in 1943. She joined the U.S. Navy Waves, during WW II serving as a Lieutenant JG, providing translation and coding services for the OSS while stationed in Washington, DC. She was discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1951. She was a resident of Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ for fifty years and was a long-time member of the Ho-Ho-Kus Community Church. She enjoyed Genealogy, French language, bridge, sailing, skiing, entertaining and traveling. She was a Republican Committee member in local elections for the Ho-Ho-Kus Women's Club. Besides her husband, she leaves her daughter, Christine W. Coleman of South Kingstown, RI and her son, Dr. Jeffrey S. Warren of Fairfield, CT; five grandchildren and one great grandson. A Funeral Service will be held Monday 10 AM at the Ho-Ho-Kus Community Church. Burial will follow in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Arrangements entrusted to the C.C. Van Emurgh Funeral Home, Ridgewood.
