TALLIA
James H., Sr., 85, of Allendale, NJ passed away on April 23rd. Jim was a retired Allendale Police Captain, past President of the NJ FBI National Academy Association, and Range Master and Firearms Instructor at the Bergen County Police Academy.
Jim was born in Paterson, NJ, graduated from Ramsey High School, and lived in Allendale for the past 56 years.
He is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Isabel (nee Ivany); sons Jim and Bob; daughters-in-law Kelley and Joann; and grandchildren Dalton, Michael, Connor, Alicia, Carli, Meaghan, Garrett, and Colby. We all miss him so much, he was the best.
Jimmy, as his friends fondly called him, continued to work at the Bergen County Police Academy Range until a week before going into the hospital for the final time. He had hundreds of friends developed during his 57 years in law enforcement and service to his community. Jim never had a bad thing to say about anyone and truly loved helping people. Private services will be held on Sunday and Monday and the family would like to suggest that we all "pay it forward" for Jimmy and continue to help others.
