CHINMAN
Joel L. We mourn the tragic loss of Joel L Chinman, 77. Loving husband, father and grandfather. Born and raised in Woodmere NY, who passed away on September 15th. Graduated Lawrence High School, and Harvard University, Class of 1957.
He leaves behind the love of his life, Lilyan (Brecher) Chinman after 57 years of marriage. Son of the late honorable Julius and Riki Chinman.
Devoted father of Laurie Getto, Jeri and Bobby Green, Jeff Chinman and Linda Reiter and Linda Pollock. Cherished grandfather of Jason and Erin, Matthew, Brooke and Mitch, Jordan, Rachel, Sydney, Jeremy, and Grayson. Great-grandfather to Hayden. Dear brother of Carol Shedlin. Brother-in-law to Ira and Jane Brecher and William Shedlin.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:30 PM on Wednesday September 19th at the Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, 402 Park Street, Hackensack, NJ.
Donations may be made in his memory to the Diabetes Foundation or Colitis Foundation.
