John E., 84, formerly of Saddle Brook, died on Friday, December 7, 2012. Born and raised in Fairview, he has been a resident of Saddle Brook for 45 years. He was a plumber for Local 24 in Lodi from 1967 to 1989 before retiring. He was a member of the Paramus Elks Lodge #2001 and a member of the National American Legion. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Army .
Devoted husband of Rose (nee Monteleone), loving father of Virginia Jacobs and her husband Wayne, Fran Mortellaro and her husband Richard, Angela Knuth and her husband Thomas and Frank and his wife Lisanne, dearest grandfather of Jeanine and her husband Daniel, Jennifer and her husband Joseph, Marc, Thomas, Samantha, Gabrielle, Vincent, Rachel, Carmine, Frankie, John and Tyler, beloved pop-pop to Kali, Makenzie, Alexandra, Kyle and Dylan, dear big brother of Cecelia Fuchs, Anna De Gregorio, Anthony and their spouses, also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Funeral Service Wednesday 11 AM at the Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, Inc., 274 Market Street, Elmwood Park. Officiating Fr. Raphael Iannone. Interment Fairview Cemetery, North Bergen. Visiting Monday, 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
