John (Aneil)., 88, of Fair Lawn, NJ passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013. He was born and raised in Passaic, NJ prior to settling in Fair Lawn 57 years ago. He was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C Church in Fair Lawn. John was a proud veteran who served his country during World War II for the United States Army Air Force. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #2640 in Wallington. An avid pilot, John had a fond interest in all military airplanes, notably air force jets, but most importantly John will be remembered for his great love for family and friends especially his grandchildren.
Prior to retiring, in 1985 he was employed with the United States Post Office in Passaic as a postal carrier for 42 years.
Beloved husband of Mary (Vitale) Naples. Loving and devoted father of John Naples, Donna Scheuermann and her husband John, Barry Naples, Robert Naples and his wife Christine, Glenn Naples and his wife Jenny, Bonnie Steinke and her husband Peter and Randi Naples. Cherished grandfather of Staci, Ami, Lori, Rebecca, Barry Jr., Meghan, Bobby, Michael, Audrey, Jason and Nicole. Caring great-grandfather of Rachel, Shannon, Alison, Robert and Riley. Dear brother of Angie Cornaglia.
A Funeral Mass is planned for Wednesday, April 24, 2013, 10:30 AM at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday 5-9 PM at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ, (201)-797-3500.
