Josephine Pat, of Ridgefield, NJ, entered into eternal rest on April 8, 2013 at the age of 104. Devoted wife of the late Clayton Joseph Borchard who died in 1973. Dear aunt of George Crum of Delaware and of Howard Borchard of Dover, NJ. Loving friend to all. Pat had been a clerical worker for 3M Office Supplies, Jersey City, NJ. Her claim to fame was her active commitment to volunteerism in so many organizations. She was a parishioner, eucharistic member, and rosary society member of St. Matthew's R.C. Church, Ridgefield. Pat was a member of the Seniors of Ridgefield. She was the president of the Ridgefield Chapter of Holy Name Hospital Auxiliary, a volunteer at Holy Name Hospital, Teaneck, NJ for over thirty years, and a member of Holy Name Medical Center Auxiliary. She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary Unit 221 of Ridgefield, a member of the Columbiettes of Ridgefield Park, a guild member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, Englewood Cliffs, a member of AARP, and a member of the Culver Lake Women's Club, Branchville, NJ. Visiting will be held on Thursday from 3-7 PM at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield (201) 945-5032. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday at 9:15 AM to attend the funeral mass at St. Matthew's R.C. Church, 555 Prospect Ave., Ridgefield on Friday at 10:15 AM.
