Lawrence "Larry" M., 81, of Ridgewood, NJ died May 5, 2013. He is survived by his wife Lesley (Wilcox) of Ridgewood; sister Doris Drake(CA); his children Robert of Los Angeles, CA; Bruce of North Haledon, NJ; Sherry Capwell of Wilmington, DE; and Eric of Oakland, NJ. He was the grandfather of Jonathan, Richard, Kirsten, Brynmor, Alexa, Jordan, Karen, Rachel, Christine, Ryan, Cameron, and Sidney, as well as two great-grandchildren. He was a graduate of Clifton High School, class of 1947. He attended Cornell University and was member of the Zeta Psi Fraternity. Larry was a Korean War veteran having served as a naval radio operator. Having graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University, he spent his career working at Walter Kidde Co. and Valcor Engineering. He was a long-time member and proud supporter of the Boy Scouts of America, receiving his Eagle Scout Honor as well as being Scout Master of Troop 8 of Ridgewood, NJ. He was the band leader and trumpeter for Dad's Night and Jamboree in the Ridgewood school system. As an active member of the community, he was a volunteer tax preparer for the IRS (VITA). Larry was an avid Ham operator, modeler and enjoyed boating and camping at Lake George, NY. Memorial donations can be made, in the name of Lawrence Anderson, to Northern NJ Boy Scouts of America at 25 Ramapo Valley Road, PO Box 670, Oakland, NJ 07436; or the Salvation Army NJ Division, at P.O.
