Marianne L., 69, Pompton Plains, went home to be with Jesus, her personal Lord and Savior on Friday July 26, 2013.
Marianne was born to Fred and Marion Tucker of Riverdale New Jersey on October 14, 1943. As a child, she attended Riverdale Baptist Church and was a 1961 graduate of Butler High School. In 1964, she married Kenneth Carey of Pompton Plains and has resided in Pequannock Township ever since. For more than 40 years, Marianne and her husband were the proprietors of the Village Flower Shop in Pequannock, New Jersey.
Marianne is survived by Ken (a current resident of the New Jersey Veterans Home in Paramus); her sisters Alanna Watson, Acworth, Georgia and Joanne Holster, Pompton Plains, NJ; her daughters Melinda Walsh and husband Bob of Easton, PA and Bethany Adoni of Phillipsburg, NJ; and grandchildren Brianne Walsh, Alexander Walsh, Caleb Adoni and Chloe Adoni.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Friday August 2, 2013 at 7 PM at Jacksonville Chapel, (Student Ministries Building, across the street from sanctuary), where she recently attended. Refreshments will be served. Marianne was a long time supporter of Compassion International, a Christian Ministry, helping children in need.
