O'KEEFE
Mary Ann (nee Wieczezak), 71, passed away on February 14, 2014.
Born in Passaic, New Jersey on June 13, 1942, Mrs. O'Keefe resided in the Passaic-Clifton area until her marriage to Joseph O'Keefe in 1965 when she moved to Lyndhurst. Soon after they moved to Upper Montclair where they raised their family in the same home where she spent her final days. Mrs. O'Keefe was a graduate of Passaic High School and William Paterson College and was a teacher at Christopher Columbus Junior High School. She left teaching to raise her three children, as family was the focus of her entire life. She always set an example of selfless devotion for her children and grandchildren, who were her everything.
Mrs. O'Keefe is predeceased by her parents, Edward and Josephine Wieczezak, and survived by her husband, Joseph O'Keefe, her son Joseph and his wife Mary Ellen O'Keefe, her daughter MaryLynne and her husband Nick Colicchio, her daughter Allison and her husband Darren Wright, her sister Martha Di Geronimo, her brother Edward and his wife Deborah Wieczezak, and her beloved eight grandchildren Anna Teresa, Elizabeth, Joseph and Edward O'Keefe, Nicholas, Caitlin and Hailey Colicchio and Mary Ann Wright, her namesake.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 18th beginning 9:15 AM from the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton and then 10 AM at St. Cassian R.C. Church, where Mrs. O'Keefe was a parishioner for the past 4 decades. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair, New Jersey. Visiting hours Sunday, 2 - 6 PM and Monday, 2 - 4 PM and 7 - 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
