Matthew Certosimo Obituary

CERTOSIMO Matthew "Matty" Edward, of Whiting, NJ, formerly of Oradell, NJ died on Friday, February 8, 2008. Beloved Husband of Ang-elina Ann (nee Chio-razzi). Devoted father of Claudia Looram and her husband Richie; Janet Errico and her husband Gene; Arthur Certosimo and his wife Terry. Dear brother of Emma Babbio the late Rose Ristaino, the late Annette Vitale and the late Jos-eph Certosimo. Loving grandfather of Denise Hermmann, Lisa Nimorwicz, Erica Sears, Lori Seaman, Lee Ann Brizak, Matthew Certosimo and Cara Certosimo. Cherished great- grandfather of August Herm-mann, Konnor Hermmann, Ava Sears, Jackson Sears and Thomas Seaman. Coach Certosimo was the Athletic Director of River Dell High School from 1960 to 1978. He touched many lives as a High School Teacher, Head Football and Baseball Coach in the River Dell School System. He served his country during WWII and was awarded the Bronze Star. Funeral Mass, Tuesday, 10 AM at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Oradell, NJ. Bur-ial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Friends and family may visit Monday, February 11, 2008, 2-4:30 PM and 6:30-9:30 PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell. (www. volkleberfuneralhome.com)

I was sorry to learn of Coach's passing. Besides being the greatest football coac ever, he was always ready to listen and help. I will miss him.

People come in contact with only a few people that have a lasting effect on how they live their lives. Coach Certosimo was one of those special people for me. He taught me more than just football and for that I am forever grateful. I cannot make to Oradell to say good-bye, but I will be keeping you in my prayers.

You have touched the heart and mind of so many people and we will all miss you.
