Miriam Schinasi, 93, of Montclair, formerly of Englewood, died on Monday, Jan. 28.

Retired at age 83, after 40 years as a supervisor with the Wayne DMV office, she was an avid gardener with a love for orchids. She served as a Girl Scout leader and member of the Englewood Board of Education, and proudly attended Hunter College.

Mrs. Schinasi was predeceased by her husband Albert. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Stephen Frey of Montclair; her son Lee Schinasi; her grandchildren, Jackie and David Frey; and her dear friend Patricia Callahan.

Services were held on Jan. 30, at the Sanctuary of Abraham and Sarah at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus.
