Morris, age 97, died peacefully on September 15, 2013 to join his beloved wife, Diana, of 72 years of marriage. Diana died on July 7, 2013. Morris wanted to be with her for their 73rd anniversary on September 21st. Morris was born in the Bronx in an ambulance on the way to the hospital. He worked for ITT, rising from a messenger to a manager, until his retirement in 1981. After his retirement, he painted fine art. Many of his pictures decorated their apartments. Diana and Morris had two children: Carolyn (Saul) and Warren (Sherry). Their family grew. They became loving grandparents to ten grandchildren: Gary (Sharon), Alan (Meryl), Pamela (Craig), Michelle (Nathan) and Jason (Beth). They also loved being with their ten great-grandchildren: Lev, Eliana, Noam, Joseph, Filip, Rachael, Allen, Kaitlyn, Sarah and Anna. Morris was a proud World War II Veteran. Morris and Diana were active in the Jewish War Veterans both in the Bronx and later in the James Platt Jewish War Veterans Chapter in Fair Lawn, New Jersey where they lived for 25 years. They delivered Meals On Wheels, volunteered at the Veteran's Home, and were active in the Friday Club at the Senior Center in Fair Lawn. They were members of Temple Beth Shalom until they moved to Cherry Hill New Jersey about a year ago. They were Snowbirds who spent their winters in Florida. Diana did not drive, so Morris caringly drove her everywhere. Morris was a devoted, loving husband to his "beautiful Diana" which is how he called her. Morris was buried next to Diana in Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin, New Jersey on September 17, 2013. They are together again forever. They are greatly missed by their family and friends.
