A Mass for township resident Norman W. Hickey will be offered Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 11:15 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood.

Mr. Hickey, 87, died Oct. 10 at home.

Born in Cranford, he lived in the township since 1967. He was a vice president with Royal Insurance Co., in New York City, where he worked from 1946 to 1989. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served in both theaters of operation during World War II from 1944 to 1946 on the U.S.S. George W. Ingram destroyer escort.

Mr. Hickey is survived by his wife, Marie; two daughters, Suzanne Hickey Galvin and Ellen Topar; and three grandchildren.
