CHAO
Dr. Paul K., age 93, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 5, 2013. He was born in Cheng Ting, China, and lived in Wayne. Dr. Chao was a graduate of NYU and Cambridge University in London, England. He was employed by William Paterson University, Wayne, as a Professor of Anthropology for over 40 years before retiring. Dr. Chao published six books in his lifetime, the last one in April, 2012, called Witchcraft and Sorcery. He was a member of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, Wayne. Dr. Chao was the beloved husband of Patricia (Drapala) Chao and loving father of Edward Liu. He was predeceased by his first wife, Denise Wang, in 1993. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, 45 Urban Club Rd., Wayne. Visiting on Thursday from 2-5 PM at Moore's Home for Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne. Memorial donations may be made to: Paul K. Chao Scholarship Fund c/o William Paterson University.
