Pearlann Peslin, of Langlois, Oregon, and Wayne, New Jersey, passed with amazing grace on February 26, 2014.
She waits in heaven with love for her five children, Patricia, her husband Marty O'Connor; Irene, her husband Gary P. Scalcucci; Julie Browne; Joseph F., Jr., his wife Jane Barbieri; and Roger, his wife Janice Barbieri; and their father, Joseph F. Barbieri, Sr.; her grandchildren Caitlin and Bryan O'Connor; Jeanne and Elizabeth Browne; Joseph F., III, and Emily Barbieri; and Zachary, Nicholas, and Tanner Barbieri; her great-grandchildren Charles and Jack; and her sisters Blanche Winters and Gail Poggi.
She is preceded in death by her twin brother Henri, sister
Henriette, and parents Oswald and Pearl.
She served her community as a Registered Nurse and the Administrator of the Lincoln Park Nursing Home for over sixty years and spent her lifetime enjoying her family and friends, gardening, history, reading, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, cooking, traveling, studying wildlife, and involvement in her local library and community. She left us the gift of her heart, and we will always remember her sweet sound.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on Pearlann's behalf to Heifer International, working to end world hunger and poverty, by calling (855) 948-6437 and requesting a Memorial Tribute in her name. Additionally, Irene Saley is accepting donations for construction of a reflection bench to be placed on the Oregon coast and can be contacted at 1241 Eagle Street, Aurora, Colorado 80011. Celebrations of her life are being planned on both coasts in the upcoming months.
