Siegel
A memorial service for former township resident Peter Joel Siegel was held Sept. 15 at St. Edward State Park in Kenmore, Wash.
Mr. Siegel, 46, died July 25 in Hamlin Park in Shoreline, Wash.
Born in New York in 1967, he grew up in the township and was a resident of Seattle, Wash., for more than 20 years.
Mr. Siegel earned a bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary science and a bachelor of science degree in communication from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He went on to earn a master of arts degree in technical communication from the University of Washington. He spent many years in the software industry, as a programmer and technical writer, later adding animal care and advocacy to his work life.
He volunteered at both Pets Are Wonderful Support in Bellevue, Wash. and Food Lifeline in Shoreline.
Mr. Siegel is survived by his partner, Marianne Cavelti; his parents, Joel and Anne; and his sister, Erika.
