Ralph, a passionate Mets and Jets fan, long-term supporter of the underdog, and actively bowling until the end, died on January 6, 2013 in his home surrounded by his family. Born in the New York, NY on January 7, 1925, Ralph lived in his residence at 41 Maple Avenue, Hillsdale, NJ for 56 years. He was married on November 8, 1947 and leaves his wife, Gloria DiTore Truppi, his brother George Truppi of Toms River, NJ, his daughters Katherine Truppi DiMatteo and her husband Richard, Carol Truppi, Gloria Truppi, and Juli-Ann Truppi and her husband Lee Nisenholz. In addition, he was the proud grandfather of Lemmy Truppi, Elisha and Nick DiMatteo, and great-granddaughters Asha and Juniper DiMatteo-LePape. He is predeceased by his parents; his sisters Louise, Frances, and Lucy; his brothers Joe, Frank, Anthony, and Charlie; as well as his son-in-law Rick D'Arienzo. He retired from the John S. Swift Co, Inc. after 49 years and enjoyed his life, staying in touch with old friends, and his extended family of nephews, nieces and new friends. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him and deeply missed by his wife and children. Visiting will be held at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Wednesday, January 9 from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, January 10 at St. John the Baptist Church, 69 Valley Street, Hillsdale, NJ.
