I'm so sad at the loss of Bobby and his brother Michael that I feel as if the best of our family is always leaving us way to soon. I know we will be up there in Heaven all together some day and it will be as if we were always together. Loosing my wonderful nephews has given me a sorrow that is undeniably too painful to express. He was the same age as my mom, Bob's grandmother, when she died of cancer 38 years ago. When the hell are we going to cure this dreadful disease? I pray for our family that we all can live in peace and love as Bobby did all his life. Bobby was a true man, a caring man and one we are all better for having known and loved him. Love to all the Cieplensky's that are left to add more of what Bobby was all about. I will love and miss him as long as I live. I never got to thank him for standing by me when my son died and I truly did appreciate his caring and companionship and the empathy he shown me. We grew up together as babies and teens and as adults. It was pretty neat having a nephew the same age as myself. So I was lucky to have shared my life with him. In kindergarten we had a ball and I was protective of him and was not going to let any of the other girls in class get to play cops and robbers or house, or cowboys and Indians with him. I was the Aunt and nobody was going to get my Bobby away from me. Everybody knew how smart he was and wanted to be his friend. Lastly, to my brother Tony and sister-in-law Fran, the loss and sadness is the worst pain a parent can experience, you never really lost Bobby or Michael there as close in your heart as ever before and as each day passes you are another day closer to being together again. Jesus knows your heart, And in my own way so do I. Peace to all of you and my love as well! Love sis! Mary Cieplensky- Jenkins.

It's odd that this email should pop up this morning because on my way to work, I was enjoying the breeze coming in the window and I suddenly thought of Bob. I spoke to him, in my mind, and asked him to protect all of us who love him. He was a protector of people while here on this earth. Why not think of him doing the same in Heaven? Doing so, without any stress or worry for himself. Only love and caring. Sandy G.

I am a long time forgotten 2nd cousin to this wonderful young boy Bobby. We spent many of vacations in our summer homes in Candlewood Hills, Conn. We were very young and liked each other very much and I was always saddened when we had to return back to the city. I have not been in contact with Cousins as you can tell for MANY YEARS, but this news has prompted me to do so. My love and heart goes out to all, especially Tony and Fran . I will remember Bobby always and I pray that you find comfort as this family has had so much sorrow. Gone to soon Bobby, LOVE Your Kissen Cousin,<< Mary Ann Riffone (Butts) OXOX

Bob I wondered why I was thinking of you so much this week. We met in Ramapo College. We had really changed eachothers lives for the better. I loved hearing stories about your daughters they were the best and you would light up. You and I kept each other sane and made eachother laugh as we went through rough times. When I had cancer you showed up at Sloan Kettering and always told me I looked great. You are always on my mind. You were a great friend and had the best friendship. Praying for you and looking forward to being there with you someday..Looks like it will be crowded with friends of Bob. God Bless you and I love you always Denise

I played high school football with Bob at Northern Valley Regional HS in Demarest. He was one year ahead of me and was a tough, tenacious player. I remember reading about his arrest of the Red Army terrorist on the NJ Turnpike. I was filled with pride having been his teammate. He made our Country safer and saved countless lives. He was a true Patriot and truly one of the finest graduates our high school has seen since its inception. God Bless his family.

May you rest in eternal peace and look down upon us with your everlasting smile. You are a trooper's trooper and a man I had the privilege to call a true "friend". I will miss you.

As a fellow member of the 100th State Police Class, I was proud to know Bob. Later in our careers, we worked in the Intelligence Services Section together.
May he rest in peace!

My heartfelt and sincere condolences to Bob and his family. I worked with Bob for numerous years and from day one, I found a friend in Bob for life. He was the most caring, kind and thoughtful individual. He was one of the BEST bosses I ever had, but most importantly, one of the best friends I ever had at the NJSP. Learning of Bob's passing was a very sad day at the NJSP. We all have such fond memories of him that will last our lifetime. May God bless you and give you the comfort to deal with your loss.

My sincerest condolences to Bob's family. I worked with Bob at his first NJSP station and then later as detectives. He was just a great down-to-earth guy. His co-workers took to him from his first days on the job. He was a great worker, trooper, and friend.

Bobby was my brother-in-law while I was married to his brother Tony. I have know him since we were in our early 20's and Bob was always a good friend. He was the kind of guy you could call on day or night, and he'd be there to help. I miss him.

I knew Bob from middle school on. I remember his laughter, humor, wink and laugh. I am so proud to read of his dedicated time with the NJ State Police. I am also so glad to have caught up with him at our 35th HS reunion six months ago. My prayers go out to his family. Love, Sandy Adam Gambone
