CHEEK
Robert E., 67, of Wanaque, NJ passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Winchester, MA, he resided in Fair Lawn before moving to Wanaque fifteen years ago. He proudly served with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Mr. Cheek was a member of Westside Presbyterian Church of Ridgewood.
Robert was a truck driver with Langer Transportation in Jersey City for more than thirty-five years.
Beloved husband of Margaret "Martie" (Ross) Cheek. Loving and devoted father of Matthew and Jason Cheek and John, Jimmy and Tommy Ziomek. Cherished grandfather of Madden, Tommy and Paul Ziomek. Dear brother of Richard Cheek and the late Dawn Pooley.
The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday, March 21, 2013, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ, 201-797-3500. Military funeral honors will take place at 8 PM. A funeral service is planned for Friday, March 22, 2013, 11 AM at the tower chapel at George Washington Memorial Park, Century and Paramus Roads, Paramus, NJ.
