WANAQUE — Services were held for Rudolph Kirsteuer Jr., 72, of this community, who died on Thursday, July 11, 2013.
Born and raised in Garfield, Mr. Kirsteuer moved to Wanaque three years ago. He was a maintenance mechanic for Inmont Interchemical Co., Hawthorne, for 30 years and then was a plumber for NJ Transit, Kearny, for 15 years before retiring in 2006. Also, he was a parishioner of St. Stephen R.C. Magyar Church, Passaic, and a member of the Wanaque Travel Club and SMWIA NJ Local 396 as well.
Services were Thursday at the Aloia Funeral Home, Garfield, followed by Mass at St. Stephen R.C. Magyar Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to
Mr. Kirsteuer is survived by his son, Rudy; his daughter, Kathleen; his companion, Shirley Worth; and his sister, Catherine Heyn.
He was predeceased by his parents, Rudolph and Katherine.
