Sherri Lynn, 47, of Livingston, NJ, formerly of Franklin Lakes, NJ, passed away on November 13, 2012 after a brave and tireless battle against a rare cancer. Sherri was born on November 24, 1964 at St. Joseph Hospital in Paterson, NJ. A lifetime resident of New Jersey, she graduated from Indian Hills High School in Oakland in 1983 and then from Montclair State College in May of 1987 with an accounting degree. Sherri loved to play drums and was a member of her high school band. After college, she became a certified public accountant and worked as an Auditor and then Senior Auditor for the U.S. Department of Defense, Defense Contract Audit Agency, for 25 years. Sherri loved life, her family and friends, music, brisk walks, and the warmth of the sun upon her face. Sherri will always be loved beyond words and missed above measure. She is survived by her love and partner for 25 years, Herbert Nusbaum; her loving parents Brian and Marcia Ahl of Boiling Springs, PA; her brother Roger Ahl of Fairlawn, NJ; her brother Glenn Ahl and sister-in-law Kristine Ahl of Carlisle, PA and their children Brenden and Emma Ahl; and her sister Diana Ahl-Hinkle and brother-in-law Travis Hinkle of Phoenixville, PA and their children Daniel and Elena Hinkle. Visitation will be held at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 145 East Mount Pleasant Ave., Livingston, NJ (www.quinnhoppingfuneral.com) on Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 1-3 PM.
