CHRISTIANSEN
Sigurd, 95, formerly of Oradell, passed away on February 6, 2014.
Born in Brooklyn, Sigurd proudly served in the US Air Force during WWII. He and his wife, Elizabeth Eickhorst, settled in Oradell in 1953 and lived there until moving to Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains in 2010. A longtime member of the Reformed Church of Oradell, Sigurd was also a proud member of the River Edge VFW Post 876 and the Masons Euclid Lodge #136 in Hasbrouck Heights for over 60 years.
Sigurd is survived by his daughter, Susan Breznak and her husband Joseph; and his granddaughters, Christina and Megan Breznak. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth in 2012; his brothers, Harry, Frank, Walter, Clifford; and his sister, Marie Blackwell.
Visiting hours will be held from 2-5 PM Sunday, February 9 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Tuesday, February 11 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hackensack Cemetery, Hackensack.
