TOTOWA - Violet Yennie, 84, of Totowa, died Jan. 5, 2014.

Violet was born and raised in Paterson, before settling in Totowa for the past 52 years. She worked at the Paterson Silk Throwing Company for many years. After moving to Totowa, she worked at Garden State Farms, then Star Stainless Screw Company, and then retired from Mandee's. Some of her greatest enjoyments were playing bingo with friends, going to Atlantic City, cooking for her family and the N.Y. Yankees.

She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years Frank Yennie.

Mother of Frank Richard Yennie of Alger, Mich., Bruce Anthony Yennie and his wife Diane of Totowa, and Darlene LeoGrande and her fiancée Lenardo Taylor. Grandmother of Frank Yennie and his fiancé Dee Dee Contreras, James Yennie, Sean Yennie and his wife, Stephanie, Jessica Fidler and her husband Ben, Paul LeoGrande and his wife Lauren, Miranda LeoGrande, and Stephanie LeoGrande and her fiancée Chris Grzan. Great grandmother of Sean Michael Yennie Jr. and Frank Angelo Yennie.
