FITZPATRICK Thomas E., 79, of the Township of Washington, NJ, on Monday September 14, 2009.Beloved husband for 51 years to Helen (Fratinardo) Fitzpatrick. Devoted father of Thomas E. Jr, Daniel F., and Stephen P. Fitzpatrick. Dear brother of Frank Fitzpatrick and Kay Roseingrave, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.Mr. Fitzpatrick was a Steamfitter with Local #638 of New York City for 51 years. He served in the US Marine Corps in the Asian Theater during WWII after his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps he joined the US Army and served during the Korean War where he received the Purple Heart.Mr. Fitzpatrick not only served his country with honor, he was involved in his community and his church. He was a member of the Township of Washington Golden Seniors, Our Lady of Good Counsel Men's Group, VFW Post # 6192 of Washington Township and the China-Marines Organization.Funeral from Becker Funeral Home 219 Kinderkamack Road Westwood, NJ, on Friday September 18, 2009 at 9: 30 AM. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Township of Washington, NJ at 10:30 AM. The family will receive their friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to School for Special Children P.O. Box 1979 Westville, NJ 08093-9914.
