Harriett Townsend Obituary
Harriette G., of Leonia on January 30, 2014. Mother of the late Ruth Ellen Townsend. Daughter of Harriette H. Coleman. Cherished sister of George M. Coleman, Jr. (Antonia), Howard P. Coleman (DeAnna), and Gordon E. Coleman (Betsy). Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her children Harry Lee Townsend, and Cheryl Christine Townsend and her sister Dannette Farrar. Funeral Services Wednesday, February 5, 10 AM, at Greater Bethel United Holiness Church, 264 Second Street, Hackensack. Visitation 3-9 PM, Tuesday at the church. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. The Repast will be held at the American Legion, 399 Broad Avenue, Leonia, following the burial. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church. Arrangements by Earl I. Jones Funeral Home, 305 First Street, Hackensack. Brent Smallwood Senior Director.

Harriett was the the photo in the dictionary next to the word, kindness. She was patient and sweet, always smiling and willing to help. I'd not seen her in years but remember very fondly from our LHS years. I am so sad to hear of her loss and her daughter who I never met. Heaven was blessed with another angel when she went passed those pearly gates. Sincerest sympathies to her family.
