WAYNE/WOODLAND PARK - Anne (nee Burney) Bezpa, 95, of Wayne, died Feb. 9, 2014.

Born in Fort William, Canada, Thunder Bay Region, she came to the U.S. as a young girl. Her family settled in Passaic County, living predominantly in Hawthorne and Totowa. Anne married and lived many years in Woodland Park at her husband's family-run Bezpa Poultry Farm, later moving to Wayne when the farm land was sold. Besides assisting in the operation of the farm, Anne was employed by St. Joseph's Hospital of Paterson, working in the admissions office for more than 25 years.
Anne was an avid reader, spoke numerous languages and was an accomplished artist receiving much recognition for her work. She was extremely proud of her Ukrainian heritage and was a parishioner of Saint Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Passaic.
She was predeceased by her husband Anthony Bezpa; brothers William, John and Morris Burney; sisters Stella Collins, Olga Stonebridge, and Julia Schink; and nephews John and Michael Burney and Paul Schink.
Survivors include her sister Helen Fico of Las Vegas, Nev.; nephews William and Donald Schink, Bruce Stonebridge and wife Elsa, George Stonebridge; nieces Joan Maida, Elaine McAlister, Sandra Bosque and Susan Kurley.
