John, 81, of Naples, FL and Hillsdale, NJ passed away on February 27, 2014.
John proudly served his country during the Korean War in the US Army. He was a cement finisher for Local # 780 in NYC, NY and Local # 4 in Morristown, NJ. He was an avid Yankee fan and a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Hillsdale, NJ.
John was predeceased by his parents, John and Theresa Albasi; his brother, Virgil Albasi and his sister-in-law, Jean Albasi. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Vilma (Tiramani) Albasi; his loving sons, Douglas and his girlfriend Dawn, Dennis and his wife Judy and Dino; his cherished grandchildren, Jada and Dino and his beloved aunt, Millie.
Funeral from the Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ. on Thursday 9 AM with a 10 AM funeral mass at St. John the Baptist Church, Hillsdale, NJ. Entombment will follow in Maryrest Cemetery Mausoleum, Mahwah, NJ. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday 6 - 9 PM and Wednesday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation, or the Independence-Fund, in John's memory.
