PEQUANNOCK — Services were held for Leopold Lowy, 85, of the Pompton Plains section of this community, who died on Tuesday, March 4, 2014.

Mr. Lowy came to the United States after World War II and lived in the New York City area and other states before settling in Teaneck, moving to Pompton Plains in 2009. He was a construction engineer. Also, he was a Holocaust survivor who traveled the country to discuss his experiences.

Services were Friday with Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, Hackensack.

Mr. Lowy is survived by his wife, Evelyn; his sons, Jonathan and Michael; his cousin, Ilse Reiner; and two grandchildren.
