PEQUANNOCK — Services were held for Angelo Gonzalez, 91, of this township, who died on Friday, March 14, 2014.
Born in New York City, Mr. Gonzalez was raised in Bayonne and lived in New York City before moving to Pequannock in 1954. He was a stationary engineer first for Sandoz Chemical and later for AT&T. Also, he was a freemason with La Universal Lodge No. 751, New York City.
Services were Tuesday at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church, Pompton Plains, followed by burial at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Arrangements were by the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the
, or the Pequannock Township First Aid Squad.
Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his daughter, Lydia Garcia; his son, William; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Lydia Garcia; and his parents, Manuel and Maria.
