DEPKEN
Allen Walls, passed away Tuesday, March 25 at the age of 87. Mr. Depken was raised in Hasbrouck Heights before moving to Oradell in 1952. He worked for forty years at Triangle Engraving, NYC, a photoengraving company founded by his grandfather, Allen C. Walls. Allen retired in 1987. He was a parishioner of The Church of the Annunciation, Oradell. He was enlisted in the National Guard 50th Armored Division Company C during the Korean War. He was a member of the Oradell Volunteer Fire Department and served as chief 1964-1965. He coached Oradell Little League Baseball and Football for several years. He was also a member of the Lions Club of Oradell. Allen was a devoted family man who showed great pride in the accomplishments of his children and those of his grandchildren as well. He is survived by his loving wife Muriel of 64 years, his son Stephen and his wife Kathleen of Oradell and his daughter Linda and her husband Clyde (Dyer) of Phillipsburg, Missouri. Cherished grandfather of Kristen, Breanne and her husband Anthony Marotti, Kyle Depken; Justen and Alexandra Dyer. Brother of the late Fred W. Depken. A Eucharist Burial Service will be celebrated on Saturday, March 29, 10 AM at Church of the Annunciation, Kinderkamack Road, Oradell. Interment following in Hackensack Cemetery for family and friends. Visitation Friday 4-8 PM at the William G. Basralian Funeral Home 559 Kinderkamack Road Oradell. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The Church of the Annunciation in memory of Allen.
