Harry Anthony, age 90, of Palm Harbor, FL, formerly of Glen Rock and Franklin Lakes, on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Born and raised in Paterson, Harry had lived in Glen Rock and Franklin Lakes, spending much of his later life in Palm Harbor. He served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II operating in the Pacific Theater. After the war, Harry worked for the Congoleum Company and worked his way up to Director of Product Planning. Harry was a member of All Saints' Episcopal Church in Glen Rock. He was an avid singer and artist participating in the St. James choir in Montclair while painting in his leisure time. Harry was the beloved husband of the late Gladys (nee Teichman) Shortway (1997). Loving father of Lonna Richmond of Muir Beach, CA, Greg Shortway and his wife Heather of North Haledon and Jeffrey Shortway and his wife Nancy of Ringwood. Brother of Rich Shortway and his wife Mary of North Haledon and Bill Shortway and his wife Ann of East Lake Woodlands, FL. Dear grandfather of Christopher Shortway and his wife Windee, Jeffrey Shortway, Nicholas Shortway, and Jacki Blaber and her husband Justin. Dearest great-grandfather of Dash, Jersee, and Sparkes.
