Patrick J., age 86, raised in Brooklyn and a longtime resident of West New York, died Friday, April 11, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Carmella (Nee) Mirabelli. Devoted father of Patrick McCarthy and his wife Christene, Suzanne Weaver and her husband Mike, and Ramona Wengerter and her husband John. Patrick was also predeceased by his son, Baby Michael. Loving grandfather of Nancy Helbourg and her husband Keith, Michael Weaver and his wife Jaime, Marc McCarthy and his wife Yana, Joseph Weaver and his wife Stefanie, Sheryl Brennan and her husband Martin, Kelly Wengerter, Casey Wengerter, Jamie Wengerter, and Laurie Wengerter. Dear great-grand-father of Jacklyn, Michael, Cotoria, Madeliene, Zachary, Asunta, Logan, William, and Alexander
with another 3 on the way. Patrick was predeceased by his sister Gert Bertinetti and brother Richard McCarthy. Dear uncle of Linda Amiano, Richard, Gerard, and Jeffrey McCarthy. Patrick joined the US Navy in 1945 and served with the Sea Bees. After his discharge in 1948 he began his career in auto repair as a transmission specialist well known in Hudson County. He owned and operated P&G Automotive Repair in West New York for over 25 years. After his retirement from the automotive field and in keeping with his love for the game of golf, he began a se-cond career in Golf Course Maintenance at Great Gorge Country Club. Patrick had a self-attained medical degree through Prevention Magazines and a political science degree from Fox News. Funeral ser-vice Monday 10AM from the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Rd., Oradell then to Madonna Chapel on the Hill for a 11AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow at Madonna Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit Sunday 1-3 & 6-8 PM.
