Peter, 69, of Wayne, passed away on April 21, 2014.
Born in Germany, Peter grew up in Passaic and was a graduate of Passaic High School. After graduation, Peter joined the US Navy Construction Batillion, the "Seabees," and was stationed in Vietnam. He married Carol Vuksta and later received training for a career as a carpenter for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 124 in Paterson.
Peter is survived by his wife, Carol; his son, Peter; his daughter, Amanda; his mother, Tamara; his sister, Lucy; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Ignatz and his brothers, Boris and Walter.
A funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Friday, April 25 at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Pompton Lakes. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Hackensack. Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Thursday, April 24 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains.
