VOIGT
Paul H.H., 87, of Mahwah, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Born in Hamburg, Germany, he was the son of Paul and Gertrude Voigt. Arriving in the United States in 1929, he was a graduate of Stevens Hoboken Academy, and attended both Columbia University and Rutgers. A veteran, Mr. Voigt served in the Navy during World War II. Prior to his retirement, Paul had a fifty year career as a Municipal Bond Trader on Wall Street. He was a member of the Municipal Bond Club of NY, Toppers, the Upper Ridgewood Tennis Club, was a charter member of Harry's at Hanover Square, and loved books, music and golf. He is survived by his loving wife Meriam whom he married in 1953, as well as his loving sons and daughters in law Eric (Mischelle) and Jeffrey (Donna). A memorial service will be held on Thursday April 24th at 11 AM at the West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to either the 20 Mercer St. Hackensack, NJ 07601 or the West Side Presbyterian Church Building Fund 6 South Monroe St. Ridgewood, NJ 07450 would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home, Ridgewood.
