PEQUANNOCK — Services will be held for George Peer, 64, who died on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. He was a former resident of this township.

Mr. Peer was born in Glen Ridge. He worked for Edwards Engineering, Pompton Plains. Also, he was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a volunteer fireman with Pequannock Township Engine Company No. 2 and the West Milford Fire Department as well.

Arrangements are by the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains.

Mr. Peer is survived by his sons, Erich and George; and his brothers, Vaughn, Mark, Tom, and Fred.

He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Elsie.
