Barbara Bogert, wife of Allen H. Wahlberg for 52 years, of Ho-Ho-Kus and Manahawkin, NJ, formerly of Harvey Cedars, Waldwick and Teaneck, NJ. Mother of her beloved daughter Susan and husband Scott C. Morch of Oradell, NJ and her beloved son, Andrew and his wife Jill of Barnegat, NJ. Grandmother of Emily Barbara and Julia Elsie Morch and Ryan Andrew and Kyle Allen Wahberg. Barbara was a homemaker and volunteer and enjoyed planning and giving parties throughout her life. She was involved for over thirty years with the Valley Hospital Auxiliary serving as Chairperson of the Ho-Ho-Kus Branch for several terms, a former member of the Executive Committee of the Auxiliary serving as Administrative Vice President, Ways and Means Vice President, and Treasurer of the Ho-Ho-Kus Branch. She was an Elder of the Ho-Ho-Kus Community Church, a member of the Hand Bell Choir and the Sanctuary Flower Chairperson. Previously President of the Waldwick Welcome Wagon, former member of the Board of The Forum School of Waldwick, past-president of the Contemporary Club of Ho-Ho-Kus and President of the Ocean Acres Ladies Golf Association, Manahawkin, NJ. A 1958 Graduate of the Teaneck High School, Barbara was Reunion co-chair for most of the class reunions. A 1960 graduate of Lasell Junior College, Auburndale, MA. Barbara was a member of the CERT (Citizen Emergency Response Team) in Ho-Ho-Kus and a frequent guest pianist at the Christian Health Care Center, Wyckoff, NJ for their Sunday services. An avid golfer and reader, Barbara will also be remembered for the many afghans she knitted for friends and family. The only child of Elsie and Eugene P. Bogert, Barbara was the 17th generation of Bogerts to settle in the United States, particularly Bergen County. A visitation will be held on Monday May 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home 306 East Ridgewood Ave, Ridgewood. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday May 20th at 11 AM at the Community Church of Ho-Ho-Kus. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory to the Community Church of Ho-Ho-Kus, 400 Warren Ave. Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07423 would be appreciated.
