Frederick Julius " Fred" Jr., 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, June 17th, 2014 at his home in Montvale, New Jersey. Fred was born May 10th, 1939 to Frederick Sr. and Mona (Rosenbaum) Hutter in New York City. His family moved to Saddle Brook, NJ and he graduated from Lodi High School in 1957. Fred served in the New Jersey Army National Guard from 1962 to 1968 as a Sergeant. He met his beautiful bride, Georgianna Imperato, prior to joining the National Guard and married in 1962. Together they built a new home in Paramus, NJ where they resided until 2011 when they retired to a new residence in Montvale, NJ. Fred was the owner of Paramus Taxi for more than 30 years. Prior to his career in the transportation industry he worked at United Jersey Bank. Afterwards, he was employed by the Fowler Construction Company after which he semi-retired. Fred enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, studying American History and vacationing in Cape Cod. He was also a member and past President of the Paramus Rotary Club. Fred is survived by his wife, Georgianna; daughters, Heather A. (Robert) Henry and Heidi A Barbara; son Christian Hutter; grandchildren, Darian and Dylan Henry and Gavin and Ava Hutter; his nieces Laura Low Lindner, Valerie Waite, and Alison Moszkiewicz. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Marie Sue Low, and daughter Holly Anne. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 20th, 2014 at Christ Lutheran Church, 32 Pascack Rd., Woodcliff Lake, NJ at 12 PM. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ. The family will greet friends from 4-8 PM on Thursday, June 19th, 2014 at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fred's name may be made to the Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge, 2 Shelter Lane, Oakland, NJ 07436.
