PARISI
Salvatore J., 81, of Lyndhurst, died on Saturday, June 21, 2014. Mr. Parisi was born and raised in Jersey City and has been a resident of Lyndhurst since 1964. He was an Army Veteran who served in the Korean War from 1953 to 1955. Sal was a Truck Driver for Smith Transport of Hoboken, Teamster Local 56 from 1968 to 1980. He was Owner of S & S Landscaping of Lyndhurst for 7 years while volunteering for the Lyndhurst Police Reserves from 1981 to 1986 and then was a Sheriff Officer for the Bergen County Sheriff's Office of Hackensack from 1985 to 1994 when he retired. He was a member of AmVets Post 20 of Lyndhurst. Salvatore was predeceased by his wife, Anne E. (nee Walsh) Parisi in 2011. He is survived by his loving children, Donna Zarillo and her husband, Andrew and Steven J. Parisi and his wife, Christine, by his dear grandchildren, Diana, Elayna and Maresa Zarillo and Nicholas and Christopher Parisi, by his sisters, Pearl Brinskele and Beatrice Cacioppo and by his brother, the late, Matthew Parisi. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from Nazare Memorial Home, Inc, 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 9:30 AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10:30 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered.
