OSUSKY
Marian (Mario), 64 of Wanaque NJ, formerly of Ringwood, NJ, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014. He was born in Cifer, Slovakia before moving to New Jersey in 1969.
'Beloved' husband of 32 years of Dotsie Archibald Osusky and loving father of Tobin Joseph of West Milford, NJ and Dylan Archibald of Bloomingdale, NJ. Mario and his family resided in Ringwood for 29 years before moving to Wanaque a year ago. Mario was fondly known to many as the "Dancing Butcher." He was the owner of "Ludwig's Pork Store" in Union City, NJ for 20 years before opening "The Meating Place" in Haskell, NJ in 1989. He was deeply proud to pass on the business to his son, Dylan in 2012.
Mario was the cherished son of the late Jozef and Terezia, the beloved brother of Ivan, Milan, Joseph, Peter and the late Frank, Bozena Polakovic, Bena Morvay, Marianna Ulehla, Eva Majerovsky and the late Cecilia Nadaska.
Mario's family was always first and foremost in his mind. He was blessed to share his love of life with his many longtime friends who became part of his greater family.
In addition to his marriage to Dotsie and the birth of their two sons, one of Mario's proudest moments was when he became a citizen of the United States of America in 1975.
Mario had a passion for soccer and was known for his fierce left foot when he played semi-professionally in the 1970's and 1980's. He continued to play soccer throughout his life and was a founding member of the Ringwood Rover's Soccer Club. Mario loved to share his knowledge of the game with children and coached many Ringwood youth soccer teams.
Mario shared many sun filled vacations at his favorite getaway, Coyaba Beach Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica, with Dotsie, family, and good friends, where his love for Reggae and dancing were on display for all to see. It was his Heaven on Earth,
