BLOOMINGDALE — Services will be held for Leonard Bolzan, 67, of this community, who died on Thursday, August 28, 2014.

Born in Montclair, Mr. Bolzan grew up in Bloomfield. He was a letter carrier for the Bloomfield Post Office. A U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War and a veteran of the National Guard, he was a member of the Pompton Lakes Veterans of Foreign Wars as well.

Arrangements are by the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the ALS Association, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 6051, Albert Lea, MN 56007; or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

Mr. Bolzan is survived by his wife, Catherine; his mother, Helen Staniaszek; his niece, Allison Dunko; and his nephew, Steven Bolzan.

He was predeceased by his father, Stanley; and his brother, Richard.
