Virginia P., 89, passed away August 31st, in the Palliative Care Unit of Akron City Hospital, in Akron, OH.
Virginia was born in Farmville, VA in 1925 and was raised by her parents Erna and Spencer Price, with her beloved brother William (deceased). She lived "on the farm" until she attended and graduated from Longwood College, also in Farmville. She started a career teaching high school Home Economics, but soon devoted her life to her husband Joseph Frederick Perrow, Jr. (deceased) and her two sons, Joseph III of Silver Lake, OH. and William S. of Orlando, FL. The family moved to River Edge and later Oradell, NJ, where Virginia resided until moving to Stow, OH. in 2007.
Virginia was a member of the First Congregational Church of River Edge for over 50 years. She embraced her faith and her love of singing there and the lifelong friendships that both she and her husband were blessed with, especially her sisters with PEO.
She is survived additionally by her daughter-in-law, Christine Harman Perrow; grandson Evan Perrow and his wife Michelle Calvin Perrow, and their children, Anna, William, and Nora; granddaughter, Catherine Perrow Yaceczko and her husband Andrew Yaceczko, and grandson Joseph F. Perrow, IV.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 4 at the Beaugard Funeral Home, 869 Kinderkamack Road, River Edge from 3-6 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10 AM at The First Congregational Church of River Edge. Internment George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery in Paramus.
