Mary Margaret, eldest child of Deacon John and Margaret Teresinski, born 10/31/1950. Called to her heavenly Father on 1/26/2017 after 66 years of life. Whether riding bicycles, swimming, or listening to her transistor radio, her indomitable spirit taught us compassion and love. She now rests with her beloved Mother and Father.
Developmentally disabled, her challenges never limited her accomplishments. She lived in Clifton for forty years, working in a workshop run by the Catholic Diocese. She loved attending Mass with family and then going to Dunkin Donuts. She attended C.C.D. classes run by Msgr. John Wehrlen. His pioneering work with the disabled in the 1960's enabled them to achieve levels of independence never thought possible, such as Mary living independently in a group home for decades.
Our family thanks friends and professionals who supported Mary, especially Thomasina Southerland, staff at Overlook Hospital, and Atlantic Hospice. Our love and admiration are with you always.
Arrangements: JC Fila FH, today (3-7PM). Mass (Monday) 10 AM, SS Cyril & Methodius, Clifton. Donations may be made in her name to Paterson Diocese's Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD.org/Memorials), or Special Olympics.
