VERICKER Christine Rose Franco, peacefully passed away on May 22nd, 2010. Born November 27th, 1950 to Gloria and Frank Franco in Nyack, NY, she will eternally live in the hearts and lives she touched as a devoted teacher, mother, sister, daughter, and dear friend. Through her deep faith in God and a passion for the gift of life, she put the needs of those around her and even those she never met before her own. Not because she expected anything in return, but because it was the right thing to do. It was her mission in life to love and teach others that will leave an everlasting impression on this world. Her positive influence on people is far-reaching and has no bounds. Christine's true duty in life was to care for her three sons, Michael, David, and Matthew. For it was her guidance, lessons, and unconditional love that allowed them to become the young men they are today, and it is through their lives she will be always celebrated. She joins her son Dennis, daughter Susan, sister Susan, in-laws William, Frances, and Thomas Vericker. Christine is survived by her parents Gloria and Frank, brother Peter (Eileen), sister Gloria (Charlie), brother Joseph, sister Regina (Thomas), sister Daria (Carl), in-laws Kevin, Danny, Stephen, Chris (Nada), Sonya, nieces Heather (Jim, James), Diane (Peter, Michael, Brenna), Genevieve, Gabrielle, Felicia, Caroline, Maddy, and Carly. Christine will be dearly missed by her many loving friends, students, and extended family. Visiting is scheduled for Tuesday May 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. in Nyack, NY. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday May 26th at 11 AM at St. Ann's RC Church also in Nyack, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Christine's memory to her son Matthew Vericker's Continuing College Education Fund c/o Hannemann Funeral Home, 88 South Broadway, Nyack, NY 10960.
