SINGER Richard, passed peacefully at home on Saturday surrounded by loving family, under the supervision of Hospice. Born in Rahway, NJ, to Morris and Norma Singer, he graduated from Rahway High School and Bryant University. Richard maintained the family store, Goodman's Hardware of Fair Lawn, NJ, the last original store at Radburn Shopping Center. He was a strong believer in giving back to the community which supported his business by donating to local police, fire, ambulance, and boy scouts. Richard was also an active member of the All American Corvette Club, the Natural Glass Corvette Association, and the Fair Lawn Chamber of Commerce. Richard is survived by his wife Pamela Singer; his son Jeffrey, 29; daughter Carrie, 27; her fiance Michael; his step-daughter Celina, 28; his brother Robert and his sister-in-law Cindy; and nieces Lauren and Alex of Virginia. A graveside service will be held at 1 PM, Monday, November 15, 2010 at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ. Services are under the direction of Lehrer-Gibilisco Funeral Home, 275 West Milton Ave., Rahway, NJ. For more information please call 732-388-1874. If you wish to pay your respects, the family will be sitting Shiva at their home following services from 3-8 PM on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the VNAA Hospice Service of Morris County.
