PEQUANNOCK — Services will be held for Michael J. Ancmon, 86, of the Pompton Plains section of this community, who died on Wednesday, March 16, 2011.

Born in Newark, Mr. Ancmon lived in Belleville and Forked River for many years before moving to Pompton Plains. He was a tool and die maker before retiring. Also, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a 50-year member of the Knights of Columbus as well.

Arrangements are by the Morrison Funeral Home, Butler. Burial will be at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.

Mr. Ancmon is survived by his wife, the former Mary D'Amore; his daughters, Michelle Kaye, and Maria Allex; his brothers, Joseph and Robert; and six step-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, Julius and Anna; his brother, Julius; and his sisters, Anna, Betty, and Mary.
