PARAMUS — Karen C. Boyajian, 65, died on July 1.
Raised in South Orange, she attended St. Mary's Armenian Church and was a graduate of its Sunday school as well as a member of the choir. She was also a member of the ACYOA as well as the NJ ASA. She worked for NJ Bell until the birth of her oldest daughter in 1972. She taught Sunday school at St. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic church for seven years and was a member of the choir and Ladies' Guild. She was a member of the Daughters of Vartan Sahaganoush Otyag since 1994 and had been recognized in 2006 as their Woman of the Year.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Arthur; her children, Anne and Louis Trozzo of Wanaque, Barbara and Alexander Villiard of Northvale and Sandra and Christopher Morath of The Colony, Texas; her grandchildren, Angela and Anthony Trozzo and Edward Morath and Madeline Villiard; her siblings, Valentine Nemetz and Thomas Bozian and wife Mariana; her brother-in-law, Bruce Noel; and an array of family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Hagop (Jack) and Rose Bozian; her sisters, Arax Noel and Gladys Bozian; and her brother-in-law, Victor Nemetz.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5 at William Basralian Funeral Service, 599 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6 at Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 461 Bergen Boulevard in Ridgefield, with entombment following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
