Richard F., 87, of Hillsdale, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Dick was born in the Bronx, NY to William and Agnes Collier. Dick proudly served our country during World War II serving in the U.S. Navy where one of his greatest accomplishments was to help lay the artificial harbor for the Normandy Invasion. He worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and after retiring he worked for MasterCard International as Director of Fraud Control. He was a parishioner and a former Trustee of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church in Hillsdale. Beloved husband of the late Catherine A. Collier. Devoted father of Richard F. Collier, Jr. and his wife Janet, Robert Collier and his wife Mary Beth, and the late Brian Collier and his wife Liz. Dear brother of Andrew Collier, Agnes Petise and the late Thomas Collier. Dick is also survived by eleven loving grandchildren, two adoring great-grandsons and he mourned one cherished granddaughter. The family will gather with their family and friends for the Funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Hillsdale, NJ on Friday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Cemetery of the Ascension, Airmont, NY. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made in Dick's name to St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 69 Valley Street, Hillsdale, NJ 07642.
