Frances V., age 88, of Pompton Plains, NJ, formerly of Teaneck, NJ died on Saturday, March 3, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Manuel Manteiga. Devoted mother of Robert and his wife Teresa and Elaine and her husband John Gavejian. Loving grandmother of Jason and his wife Andrea, Justin, Sara, Jonathan, Jamie and Julie. She was predeceased by her sister Josefina Garcia. For much of her life, Frances worked as a bilingual secretary in New York City. She was a long-time member of Amore Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in Bogota, NJ serving as Grand Representative for Montana. She was an active member of The Community Church of Teaneck and The Second Reformed Church of Hackensack. She was also a life-time member of The Masonic Camp in Harriman State Park. Frances was devoted to her community and especially to her family. Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck.
