JANSSEN
George E., 89, passed away on April 21, 2012 in Milford, PA surrounded by family. He was born on November 24, 1922 in Jersey City, NJ to Bernard and Nora Janssen. George joined the Navy and served 3 years on the USS Randolph during WWII.
In 1944 George married Barbara Hayes in Claremont, MA. They were happily married for 49 years before Barbara passed away in August, 1993.
George was predeceased in death by Barbara Janssen and their only daughter Karen E. Seymour, who passed away June 2010. George was always described by Karen as being a "wonderful man."
George is survived by his two siblings, Kay Amico and Hank Janssen; five granddaughters Karen O'Dea, Kimberly Despres, Diane Johnston, Allison Spratt, Kathryn Seymour and nine great grandchildren.
He was fondly known by all as "Pop-Pop."
A memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined by the family.
