Florence G. "Florri" (nee Conza), 81, of Clifton, passed away on November 3, 2012. Born in the Ozone Park section of Queens, New York, Mrs. Santosuosso has resided in Clifton since 1953. As a teenager and young woman, prior to her marriage, she had a professional singing career. She performed at the Meadowbrook Dinner Theatre in Cedar Grove with many of the local big bands. At the time, she also appeared on the Morey Amsterdam Show and Sing for Your Supper.
Mrs. Santosuosso was an active volunteer at the Clifton Senior Center and the Clifton Adult Opportunity Center. She served on the Clifton Senior Citizen Advisory Council. At one time, Mrs. Santosuosso had been a team mother for the Clifton Hawks Baseball Team.
Mrs. Santosuosso was employed at the cafeteria of Clifton School #5 on Valley Road. She was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Santosuosso, in 1999.
Survivors include her devoted children, David Santosuosso and his wife, Lourdes of Clifton and Donna Lipari and her husband, Salvatore, of Flanders, NJ; one dear brother, Joseph Conza of Margate, FL; six loving grandchildren, Patrick Santosuosso and his wife, Jennifer, Michael Santosuosso, Nicole Santosuosso, Hector Milete, Phillip Lipari and Jillian Lipari; and one loving great-granddaughter, Noelle Santosuosso.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11 AM at the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Interment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Memorial contributions to Hospice of New Jersey, 400 Broadacres Drive, Bloomfield, NJ 07004 would be appreciated.
